Welcome to Catherine Legere's Stepping Out to Cure Scleroderma Page!

2026 Stepping Out - Deer Island Stroll MA

Thank you for visiting my personal fundraising page to support this Stepping Out to Cure Scleroderma event!

Spring, 2026
THIS IS OUR 10th ANNIVERSARY !
THIS

Welcome everyone to our fundraising page. Our team is called.” THE FOUNDERS.”. Together with our family, we are Scleroderma Warriors!
Don and I would like to thank our daughter Maria Bartoszewicki and her family for all of their hard work over the past 10 years. Maria started the Stroll for Scleroderma in honor of her dad Don Legere.
She has worked tirelessly over the years putting this very successful fundraiser together. How does she have time raising three children and a full-time job, to pull off this event? She does it with passion, hard work and a heart of gold.
A special thank you to Maria and her family Jacek, Alexis, Ellasandra and Maxim for your support, time, patience and giving up space in your home while it becomes a fundraising operation center and a bed and breakfast for out of town guests.
Thank you to our daughter Andrea Mahoney for her continued support and dedication working as an advisor on the New England Advisory Committee for many years now and her husband Mike Mahoney, for his time, contributions and help at the event.
Thank you to our sons Michael and Nicholas along with their spouses, Robin and Halley who do everything from registration, selling raffle tickets, making up raffle baskets, helping set-up and break-down and welcoming out of town guests at their homes. And…last but not least, our grandchildren, Renzo, Ayla, Lexi, Ella, Liam, Max and Louisa who help at the raffle tables, food tables and fund raise with their infectious smiles and love.
Don and I will be there in spirit if not in person. As most of you know, Don will be in the lung transplant process.
Thank you to all of our extended family and friends near and far that support this event year after.
With Love and Gods Blessings,
Don and Cathy
Your support means so much. Donating through this site is quick, easy, and secure, and it’s the most effective way to help me raise funds that directly support the National Scleroderma Foundation’s mission to advance medical research, promote disease awareness, and provide support and education to people with scleroderma, their families, and support networks. To make a donation, simply click “Donate” and complete the form.

Want to get more involved? You can also register and join my team to fundraise alongside me!

I truly appreciate your generosity and encouragement. Please consider sharing this page with friends and family who might also want to make a difference.

Together, we can raise awareness, support those living with scleroderma, and bring us one step closer to finding a cure.
