Why I'm walking

Saturday 4th Apr
A godly woman, wonderful mother, kind hearted sister, gracious daughter, loving friend, caring teacher, tennis player, runner, cheerleader, prayer warrior....my paternal grandmother whom sadly I was never blessed to meet. In June 1994 Donna Stone passed away from a rare disease called Scleroderma. Scleroderma is a rare, chronic autoimmune rheumatic disease that causes hardening and tightening of the skin and connective tissues due to the overproduction of collagen. Scleroderma can lead to life-threatening complications by damaging internal organs like the heart, lungs, and kidneys.
The cause is unknown and there is no cure. Since my grandmother's passing, Scleroderma awareness has grown significantly, and new treatments now exist to help manage the symptoms and improve quality of life.
Please join me in this walk Stepping Out to Cure Scleroderma the fundraising event of the National Scleroderma Foundation. I am working to get a walk in our community but for now you can participate virtually. Please step with me to raise awareness for Scleroderma and walk with me toward hope and a future with a cure.

Thank you to my Sponsors
