Our Participants
The Stepping Out to Cure Scleroderma Ballpark Walk holds a deeply personal significance as we honor our mother, Linda Peterson, who fought her battle with scleroderma for seven years before passing away in February 2024. This walk is a profound tribute to her strength, her courage and the daily challenges she faced with this complex and debilitating disease. For our family, every step taken is an act of hope, turning our grief into tangible action for the 300,000 Americans currently living with scleroderma. By partnering with us, you join our family's mission to fund the National Scleroderma Foundation's vital research, education, and patient support programs, ensuring no other family endures this fight alone.
