We're Fundraising to Cure Scleroderma!

Twenty-four years, and we’re still committed to the mission.

The Rochester Walk is no longer a vision, it’s the legacy of my sister, Rosa Johnson. She planted the seed, and we’re nurturing it by continuing her mission. Every year, Rosa reached out to her family and friends requesting their assistance to help raise funds to support those struggling with scleroderma. Rosa was a successful trailblazer in the scleroderma community, all while struggling with this life altering disease herself.

This endeavor has helped to spread awareness and raise critical funds to support the Scleroderma Foundation’s mission pillars of support, education, and research.

In the minds of our members, the Walk plays a critical role in helping them to achieve a better quality of life, and the hope for a cure.

Our Goal

The group has faced many challenges.  However, we’ve persevered and accomplished many great things together. I believe Rosa would be proud of our continued success.

We're grateful for the continuous support of family, friends, volunteers, and Rochester residence who have sponsored us over the years.

Many of you have been on this journey since the Walk was established. I want to personally thank you for your support. Your contributions have made a difference in the lives of many scleroderma patients.

We’re reaching out once again on behalf of our beloved sister, Rosa, asking for your assistance to help raise funds and promote awareness for scleroderma.

Our Vision

This year, we’re asking our supporters to join the challenge we’ve established for 2026 which is $2K.

Last year, the Rochester Walk raised $18K. To date, you’ve helped raise over $300,000.

Although we’ve come a long way, our members still face challenges coping with this relentless disease. 

Many of you are aware Rosa was a tireless advocate for people with this illness, raising awareness, as well as hundreds of thousands of dollars for research. 

Forever Friends Team is determined to keep our promise to Rosa by carrying on her mission.
